An African American woman is suing the New School for failing to provide her with tenure and dismissing her saying it discriminated against her based on her race, color and sexual orientation.
Aramark, along with Kutztown University and several of its administrators, was sued by a former employee whom they fired after a naked photo of him was sent around his office. The man calls his firing a “profound deprivation of his constitutional rights.”
A complaint has been filed in the Southern District of New York against the New York city police department (NYPD) claiming that LGBT officers are routinely discriminated against, and after they seek redress, retaliated against for doing so. The complaint seeks class action status to cover all officers who have experienced or will experience similar treatment.
A bisexual epileptic has sued his former employer for discrimination. He says he was told to take extra medication so that his supervisors wouldn’t have to deal with his symptoms. He says that he was also called a “faggot” by his boss while at work.
